A B.C. ranch for healthy grass fed natural lean beef producing Black Angus cattle with gourmet steak and roast flavour.

Our family owned ranch is located in the Southern Interior Fraser Plateau with the main vegetation being grasslands and Lodgepole pines. During the spring when Mother Nature brings new life to the plateau, the lakes and streams melting creates the nesting grounds for Canada Geese, Loons and the prehistoric looking Sandhill Cranes and various other species of birds which follow them. It is the most invigorating few weeks of the year, as you feel the emotions growing in your soul as your part in the life cycle flourishes, everything keeps getting brighter and more beautiful as each day passes. This is when we are blessed with new calves and maturing yearlings feeding in Natures gardens of Brome and Orchard grasses digesting the Omega 3 nutrients from them. The magnificent horses are the first to explore the fields for fresh growth. As spring edges on the wildlife also wander grazing the fields. Black bears, Whitetail deer, Cougars, Marmots, and Moose are just some of the inhabitants. This is the time when the morning mists rise from the ponds moving in the breezes luring your thoughts into the mystique of swirls of vapour and what is hidden from your view within them.

The summer brings warmth and flowering vegetation boldly showing off it's spectacular beauty to the long summer evening golden red sunsets. The summer visitors from the cities are everywhere exploring their real passion for existence in this most grand neighbourhood. Horseback riding, water sports and nature walks are the most common of activities but in no way even begins to allow one to feel the "back to nature" desire that everyone so searches for in a families short vacation time. When you arrive, you enjoy your stay and seldom wish to leave. Summer suntans and lakeshore BBq's are everyone's idea of getting the most important things done for the day.

Fall brings cooler temperatures and usually snow by Halloween. Vegetation takes on its crimson and browns as leaves dry and crackle, so ranchers are extremely busy harvesting, and doing final touches to to the ranch in preparation for winter freezing. Warmth of old wood stoves and close family time with good neighbours is the agenda of the day. This is the same of all inhabitants and some even get to fly south for the winter, honking their good-byes as they depart on wings of grandeur in perfect formation.

Snow begins to fly, bears hibernate, and colours change dull, but still there is more beauty to behold here. As the landscape turns white, the nightly clear skies reflect the Moonlights pure reflections of the now southern suns rays, upon the sparkling ice particles giving it prism properties causing rainbow coloured light reflections. When you stand in the cold crisp night it seems to be lonely but there is still so much life about. The skies dazzle your eyes with the Northern Hemispheres planet and twinkling star scape while you vision yourself traveling amongst them and leaving you to wonder, "Is someone looking back"? Coyote's cry of friendship to each other, wolves call of partnership or hunting skill. Owls hooting and other's vocalization of coos, caws and calls, to keep the night time air sporadically vibrating with sounds so exquisite that nature created for you to enjoy and give you emotional peace. Then when the short daylight returns you walk in the snow watching for paw prints to see who came to visit in the previous darkness. Time slips by and as the cold reaches it lowest dips, soon you feel today was warmer than yesterday and you think ahead for the new creations coming.

That's why we call it Home.
